I was lucky enough to have the salon owner himself, Beau, cut and color my hair. I’ve recently experienced some hair thinning due to stress and weight loss… and my hair was looking stringy and sad. I gave complete control to Beau and told him be could cut and color my hair however he desired and the results turned out phenomenal. Before and after pictures included.

I have been so happy with my hair since starting to go to Scissor Sisters over a year ago. Hannah is the best! She listens to exactly what you want and then executes it with absolute precision and care. Nobody can cut my hair like Hannah and have it look this perfect every time. In addition to that - it always grows out so nicely. Today Hannah brought my hair back to life with a strawberry blonde balayage that I am in love with!! 🍓🍓🍓 I will be using Hannah for all of my hair care needs for years to come.

My hairstylist did not cut or dye my hair as requested. I waited at the salon and they attempted to fix the color there (after not having listened to what I had asked for the first time) and additionally the haircut was choppy and uneven and had to be fixed at home. This photo was taken at home while we were fixing the haircut. I was really not satisfied, I paid 200+ dollars for a color I didn't ask for and a choppy haircut. On top of that, while chatting while getting my hair done, I had mentioned that I was aromantic. My hairstylist then commented that "she thought she was aromantic until she met her partner" and when I said that wasn't me and I definitely am aromantic, she continued to say things like "well you never know" or "you might meet someone" which felt very uncomfortable and insulting to me. For a salon that claims to be LGBT+ positive, it's sad that that apparently only applies to identities which the hairstylists themselves agree with. It was disappointing and I will not be coming back.

Had a phenomenal experience with Oz for my first ever service at Scissor Sisters! The moment I walked in I was offered refreshments and was able to enjoy the fun but relaxed atmosphere. Ended up getting a Clipper Cut and the whole experience from start to finish was nothing short of perfect. Oz was extremely patient with me during the consultation portion of the appointment and they were so great in taking care of me I swear I was being pampered. Will absolutely be returning here and look forward to being a repeat customer. Pictures attached show my hair and appearance before and after the service.

I took this review down back in August because I wanted to post an update for the lashes I got in May. (I just forgot to actually repost it) But the lashes still looked good almost three months later. Even with my natural lashes growing in and all, the way my tech put them in, they still looked good, they were so strong, (I am anything but gentle). I had gotten my lashes done before that at a different place, but any lashes falling out were so so obvious and it made me want to rip anything left out. Not with this set. Jsut loved it and I can’t wait to get another set done. Original review: This place felt like a fever dream (in the absolute best way possible). Everything about it’s design is so original and creative, and it is so clear they pride themselves on what they do and how they do it. The place is clean, the salon chairs are on a stage, there’s a vintage store that wraps around the salon to browse while you wait. The staff are all friendly, professional- and above all else, extremely talented. I had Noble do my lashes, and I’ve never had a more comfortable experience with getting them done. At no point did I get any burning sensations, absolutely 0 eye redness afterwards, she was super considerate about how everything was feeling and asked me consistently throughout. My lashes came out beautiful. I’m super happy with everything, and this is the only place that has convinced me that lashes are something I could get done on a more regular basis. If you’re scared to get your lashes done for the first time, I totally recommend this place, they’ll take great care of you :))))

I really love this place. I've been here a few times for gender affirming haircuts, and Jualdo has understood the assignment every time. I took my friend here for a make-over after their breakup, and they look like a totally different person, and their hair texture feels amazing even after getting dyed. It's pricy, but worth it. I recommend this place if you're queer and worried about getting a haircut.
